Creed is a spin-off and continuation of the Rocky series starring Sylvester Stallone. It is a very effective character drama. It had similarities and like the Rocky series, it has the formula of the series that made it successful. The performances of the main characters have depth and are sensational. Michael B. Jordan performance as Adonis is very powerful.

The movie is the typical story about boxing and fighting for survival in the ring. There is nothing new in the movie and the story is predictable like most boxing movie; it has all the elements of the Rocky series from the training sequences to the title fight but it was done in a way that will amaze the viewer. Like most boxing drama, the pacing is very fast and no dull moment.

It stars Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Johnson and Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa. Directed by Ryan Coogler which he co-wrote with Aaron Covington.
